I would like to in 2022 add the Non Playoff tournamant. The 18 remaining teams will play in a tournamnet to figure out the draft spots. The 1st teams out will go by points scored for 1 through 9 draft slots. The next 9 slots will be determined from the next round of teams playing in the next week. The Playoff teams will get the next 14 slots. The first teams out of playoffs will get the slots 19 through 24. 25 through 28 and 29 through 32 will be determined by the rest of the playoff pairings. This way each team will still have something to play for in the league. Let me know what everyone thinks of this Proposal it wont be till 2022.

Have been thinking on these few changes for a few weeks now. Think it will make the league better and better. Always said its not about who creates or runs the league its about the Gm's in the league. This whole league is each and everyone of ours.
#1 First change like to do is add a 3% salary cap increase each year. I know its not much but think it will help in the long run of the league. So with a 3% increase from the $200M your salary cap would be $206M for 2023. We can put this in a poll if we have to but don't think that many owners will disagree with that since you would be getting more money.
#2 Second change would be to have a free drop period at the start of the off season. Would be a 2 week period during the check in for the new year you could drop anybody you have on the roster without a cap hit of 40%. It would be 1 player only.

Another change like to talk about is the free agency in playoffs. Would like to change Free Agency in Playoffs to all 1 year deals. That means there will be no multi year deals in Playoffs only. Think this is fair for all teams when we have the Loser Bracket going also.

NEW FOR 2022 You will have the opportunity to take the whole cap hit in one year or a 40% hit each year of the contract. So when you list a player for waivers list which way you want to do the 40% hit. It must be listed which way you would like the cap hit.
Ex. Joe Mixon RB $5.5M (2024) Like to take the Cap hit each year of $2.2M
How about paying some salary in a trade for a player? I think this could make more trades through the year.
Ex. Bengals Trade Zach Wison $5M (2025) Bengals pay $2.5M of salary of Zach for (2022)
Colts trade Lamar Jackson $2.3M (2022)
This would have to be posted In the trade comments for the commishes to see.
These are just ideas im floating around.

Not a huge fan of playing for pick position. But depends how it would work.

I think overall standings gives a better idea of where teams stand within the league and what teams need higher picks. If the idea is to make sure teams don't tank, than maybe some kind of lottery with a select amount of teams? But having a tough week, or a strong week in a consolation bracket shouldn't determine your draft standings.

The 1 time cut per year and % increase I like.
Player positioning for #1 I don’t necessarily like, as owners that leave teams often leave them in a bad state, part of getting new people in is the allure of a high pick. Nothing you don’t already know there, but I’d probably weigh that subjectively higher.

If you wanna run a loser bracket, make it for say 1.33 comp pick. Nice prize for the winner

That is a good idea. Ive always liked the concept of comp picks but most leagues seem to never want to touch that.

I was against it at first but found a easy way to do them now. Been doing them in a baseball league right now.

Yes to the yearly salary cap increase 50/50 on 1 offseason drop without a cap hit. I feel like this could encourage some pretty reckless FA bids Yes to being able to choose to take the whole cap hit
Paying some of a traded player's salary is interesting. Seems complicated to manage (from a commish standpoint

I don't like salary exchanges. I never do it in leagues where it happens. Someone suggests me paying some cap then I kill the trade quickly... It also allows for bigger FA prices if GM's know they can trade out of it..
