Will be posting here purposely for the new year of 2023 that way we can remember to talk about issues.
Raise QB limit before season and drop down before season starts.

I would like to throw one out there if this is the right place for me to do so but I've seen others talk about it and I'm in a bunch of leagues with alot of you anyways
I personally would like to see FA bidding be more simple. Take out the point system for different years and go with simple math (i.e. 4 years of 500,000 = 2 mil)
The minimum amount a player is required to have depending on experience is also another thing I'd like see changed, maybe just one set number such as 500,000 or even 1 mil but my main argument is the 1st point made to just keep it simple so owners don't need to jump back and forth in the rulebook everytime a bid is made

The other thing I brought up last year for us to vote on was changing the bid system from what it is to a simpler one (years + Dollars equals points).
Example 4 years @ $1.5m = 5.5 points

That's how it used to be done, it overly favours 4 yr contracts
If you want to simplify then just make a monetary bid and once won then name the years signed...

Another thing I would like to ask is lowering the penalty for cutting a player from 40% to 25%. I feel 40% inhibits cutting players and making corrective moves.
Sooner or later if you cut say 3-4 guys you cannot recover and you will have teams and owners who cannot do anything and will lose interest.
25% still hits them but allows a little more movement. Most leagues I am in are around this 25%. I just feel 40% is too high. JMO

We can vote on stuff for sure. Most all my salary contract leagues have the point system in place. The 40% salary hit is good make it to just cut players for no reason make you think alittle bit. These leagues take time to do

I agree -- reducing the penalties for bad contract bidding decisions just leads to more bad contract bidding.
I wouldnt mind going with the straight salary no points system - but years matter too -- so the straight multiplier matters.
All systems favor the longer deals if years are included in bids, its just a question of how drastically.

It works in my main money league.

I think if we go just straight salary then years later you will have a lot of bad contracts. I could see going 3 years @ $5m = 15M If we do any change. We can vote on this change for sure will make it easier on everyone

We can vote on this change for sure will make it easier on everyone I'd vote against that tbf.... Straight salary works, trust me. If you get into a bidding war (and there's no reason that won't happen whatever system you use) then you look at the price you won the player and at that point you work out how many years you wanna carry the salary for...
